Automation Test Engineer (SDET)

This is a hands\-on, engineering\-focused role where you will design, build, and evolve test automation solutions that integrate directly into modern CI/CD pipelines. You will act as a quality champion on the team, partnering closely with software engineers, product managers, and DevOps teams to ensure quality is built in from design through production. This position is a full\-time, 100% remote role and offers the opportunity to influence quality practices at scale in a regulated, enterprise environment. **Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities**: * Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web applications, APIs, and backend services * Build scalable automation for functional, regression, and integration testing * Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable releases * Treat test automation as production\-grade software that is versioned, reviewed, monitored, and maintained * Define and evolve test strategy for medium\-to\-high complexity initiatives * Partner with engineering and product teams in an Agile environment * Mentor engineers and testers on automation and quality best practices **Supervisory Responsibilities:** * This job does not have supervisory duties. **Education and Experience:** * 3\+ years of experience in test automation, SDET, or quality engineering roles * Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C\# (or equivalent) * Experience with test automation frameworks, such as: Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress (or equivalent) * Experience testing web applications and APIs * Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated test integration * Experience working in Agile development environments (Jira, Version One, Rally or equivalent) * Strong communication skills and ability to influence without formal authority * Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or Newman preferred * Exposure to performance or load testing preferred * Experience with Git and modern build systems preferred * Familiarity with cloud\-based test environments preferred * Experience with BDD or TDD practices preferred * Background in regulated or large enterprise environments preferred * Utilizing AI to increase operational efficiencies preferred **What Success Looks Like:** * Automated tests are reliable, trusted, and consistently executed in CI/CD pipelines * Manual regression testing is significantly reduced * Defects are detected earlier in the development lifecycle * Quality standards are consistently applied across teams * Engineering teams view quality as a shared responsibility **Certifications, Licenses or Registrations:** * No certification, license or registration is required for the job. **Compensation:** * Compensation offered for this role is 80,000\.00\-135,000\.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
