Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using Weightless, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Service

Weightless is a remote job board with job listings, salary data, cost-of-living tools, guides, hiring trends, job alerts, employer posting tools, and related content.

3. Job Seekers

• Browsing, searching, alerts, and applying are free for job seekers.
• Listings may come from employers, applicant tracking systems, or third-party job sources. We work to keep listings useful and current but cannot guarantee accuracy, availability, compensation, hiring outcome, or employer conduct.
• Weightless is not a recruiter, staffing agency, immigration adviser, tax adviser, or party to any employment agreement.
• Joining a Weightless candidate shortlist records your interest but does not guarantee that an unverified employer has received or reviewed your résumé. When a company application link is available, you should also complete that employer's application.

4. Employers and Job Postings

• Employers are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and completeness of job postings, including compensation, location restrictions, work authorization, benefits, and application links.
• Employers must comply with applicable employment, equal opportunity, anti-discrimination, wage transparency, consumer protection, privacy, immigration, and labor laws.
• We may reject, edit, deactivate, or remove listings that are misleading, discriminatory, unlawful, low quality, spammy, unsafe, or inconsistent with Weightless's standards.
• You may not post roles that require unlawful fees from applicants, misrepresent compensation or remote status, impersonate another company, promote scams, or collect applicant information for purposes unrelated to hiring.

5. Payments, Publication, and Refunds

Paid job posts are one-time purchases processed by Stripe or PayPal. Listings normally publish after payment clears and required posting information is accepted.

Unless otherwise stated in writing, a standard job post runs for 30 days. Refund requests must be sent to hello@weightless.work within 48 hours of purchase. Refunds are not available after a listing has materially delivered traffic, after we have removed a listing for policy violations, or after the 48-hour window, except where required by law or agreed in writing.

If a paid 30-day listing receives fewer than 50 tracked apply clicks during its term, you may request one additional 30-day repost at no charge within 14 days after the listing expires. The repost guarantee is an extension of service, not a cash refund.

6. Email and Communications

You may receive transactional emails related to your use of Weightless, including sign-in links, receipts, posting notifications, apply-click notifications, alerts, and support messages. Marketing emails are sent only where you subscribe or otherwise opt in, and you can unsubscribe using the link in those emails.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Weightless for unlawful, fraudulent, harmful, or deceptive activity.
• Submit false, misleading, spam, or malicious content.
• Scrape, crawl, copy, or systematically extract data without written permission.
• Interfere with security, integrity, availability, rate limits, or access controls.
• Upload malware, exploit vulnerabilities, or attempt unauthorized access.
• Use Weightless to violate another person's privacy or intellectual property rights.

8. Content and Intellectual Property

Weightless owns its service, design, code, branding, original content, and data products. Employers retain ownership of job listing content they submit, but grant Weightless a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, display, distribute, promote, syndicate, modify for formatting, and use that content to operate and market the service.

9. Salary, Visa, and Location Information

Salary, visa, remote-work, and cost-of-living information is provided for general informational purposes. It is not legal, tax, immigration, financial, or career advice. Verify details with the employer and qualified professionals before making decisions.

10. Sponsors, Affiliates, and Third-Party Links

Weightless may show sponsor placements, affiliate links, house ads, and links to third-party sites. Sponsored and affiliate links are disclosed where they appear. We are not responsible for third-party sites, products, services, privacy practices, or hiring decisions.

11. Disclaimers

Weightless is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any listing will produce applicants, interviews, hires, revenue, or employment.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Weightless will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost opportunities, employment decisions, or third-party conduct.

13. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to Weightless, and may remove content, if we believe these Terms have been violated or action is needed to protect users, employers, the service, or the public.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Weightless after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
