Job Description

Position Summary The Business Development Manager leads the sales and business development efforts. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, managing key customer accounts, developing new business opportunities, and leading the sales team to achieve company targets. The Sales Manager works closely with production, engineering, and estimating to ensure customer needs are met efficiently and profitably. Key Responsibilities Sales Leadership \& Strategy \- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet company revenue and profit goals. \- Identify new markets, industries, and opportunities for sheet metal fabrication services. \- Provide regular sales forecasts and pipeline updates for executive leadership. Customer Relationship Management \- Maintain and grow relationships with key customers and strategic partners. \- Conduct customer visits, presentations, and negotiations to close major contracts. \- Resolve customer issues related to pricing, delivery, or service in collaboration with internal teams. \- Monitor customer satisfaction and implement strategies for retention and growth. Operational Coordination \- Collaborate with estimating, engineering, and production to ensure accurate quotes and achievable delivery commitments. \- Work with finance to ensure proper credit management and timely collections. \- Participate in production planning meetings to align capacity with customer demand. Reporting \& Analysis \- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies. \- Present findings and strategic recommendations to senior management. Qualifications \- 3\+ years of experience in sales management, preferably in metal fabrication or industrial manufacturing. \- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales goals in a B2B environment. \- General understanding of manufacturing processes such as laser cutting, welding, forming, and assembly. \- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. \- Proficiency with ERP systems (Global Shop Solutions is a plus) and Microsoft Office Suite. \- Experience developing pricing strategies and cost estimates for custom fabrication projects. \- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications. \- Knowledge of supply chain, logistics, and inventory management concepts.
