**Business Development Representative – Software Sales**
**Location:** Westlake, TX (hybrid schedule) or Remote, USA for the right candidate
ECI Software Solutions is seeking a motivated, organized, and customer\-focused Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our Inside Sales team. This is a hybrid role, combining inbound lead follow\-up with outbound prospecting to drive pipeline growth.
In this role, you will engage with both warm and cold prospects, qualify opportunities, and partner closely with Sales Executives to build a strong, consistent pipeline. Success in this position requires strong communication skills, the ability to prioritize effectively, and a disciplined approach to managing multiple leads and activities.
**What You’ll Do**
* Respond to and qualify inbound leads in a timely and professional manner
* Proactively prospect and generate new opportunities through outbound calling, email, and LinkedIn outreach
* Conduct discovery conversations to understand prospect needs, challenges, and fit
* Deliver clear and compelling messaging that communicates value early in the conversation
* Handle objections confidently and guide prospects toward next steps
* Prioritize and manage a high volume of inbound and outbound activities effectively
* Research target accounts and identify key decision\-makers
* Schedule qualified meetings for Account Executives and ensure smooth handoff
* Maintain accurate and up\-to\-date activity tracking in Salesforce (CRM)
* Meet or exceed targets for response time, meetings set, and pipeline generated
**What You Bring**
* Experience or strong interest in cold calling and outbound prospecting
* Ability to balance inbound responsiveness with outbound pipeline generation
* Strong discovery and qualification skills
* Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written
* Effective time management and prioritization in a fast\-paced environment
* Confidence in handling objections and navigating conversations
* Coachability and a willingness to learn and improve
* Results\-driven mindset with a focus on achieving targets
**Qualifications**
* 2\+ years of experience in sales, business development, or a customer\-facing role
* Experience in a quota\-carrying or metrics\-driven environment is a plus
* Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) preferred
* Experience with sales engagement tools (e.g., Outreach, Salesloft) is a plus
* Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
