**Chief Technology Officer (CTO) – Political Technology Startup (Founding Team)** *Location: Remote (US\-based preferred)* *Compensation: Equity \+ Competitive Package* We are a mission\-driven political technology startup building the next generation of tools to strengthen civic engagement and expand democratic participation. We are seeking a **Chief Technology Officer (CTO)** to join as a founding team member and lead the technical vision, architecture, and execution of our platform. **About the Role** As CTO, you will be responsible for building and scaling our web and mobile applications from the ground up. You will set the technical roadmap, recruit and lead a high\-performing engineering team, and work closely with the CEO and other founding team members to shape the company’s long\-term vision. This is a unique opportunity to join at the earliest stage, with significant equity and decision\-making influence. **What You’ll Do** * Define the technical strategy, architecture, and stack for our core products * Build and scale mobile and web applications for civic engagement * Lead product development from concept to launch, balancing speed with scalability * Recruit, mentor, and manage the engineering team as we grow * Partner with the CEO and founding team on product strategy and fundraising * Ensure technical excellence, security, and scalability across all platforms **What We’re Looking For** * Proven experience as a technical leader, architect, or CTO in a startup environment * Hands\-on experience building and scaling both mobile and web applications * Strong background in full\-stack development and cloud infrastructure * Track record of building teams and mentoring engineers * Comfort working in a fast\-paced, mission\-driven startup environment * Passion for democracy, civic engagement, and using technology for impact **Why Join Us** This is not just another CTO role.
