COBOL Senior Developer – Banking & Payments

**Location:** Remote (Preference for EST or CST) We are looking for a Senior Developer with strong Banking and Payments domain experience and deep technical expertise in COBOL, UNIX/AIX, and scripting. The ideal candidate will have hands\-on experience supporting payment platforms, wire transfer systems, and financial messaging integrations in enterprise banking environments. Required Skills * Strong experience with COBOL * UNIX / AIX administration and development * Shell scripting or other scripting languages * Banking and Payments industry experience is mandatory Preferred Payments Experience Experience with one or more of the following: * ACI MTS / ACI UPF * FedNow / Fedwire * Fiserv EPP * ISO 20022 * RTP * SWIFT Alliance Access (SAA) * SWIFT MT / MX messaging * SWIFT yearly standards upgrades * Wire Transfers Responsibilities * Develop and maintain payment processing applications * Support payment integrations and wire transfer systems * Troubleshoot production issues and provide long\-term fixes * Participate in payment modernization and system upgrades * Work closely with business and technical stakeholders in a high\-volume banking environment Qualifications * 7\+ years of experience in software development within Banking or Financial Services * Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills * Ability to work independently in a remote environment Work Location: Remote
