Job Requirements
Fearless is seeking a Data Engineer to serve as the primary builder of data pipelines and integrations for an analytics platform. This role is responsible for implementing automated data pipelines, transforming data into analytics\-ready formats, and ensuring that data from multiple systems is reliably integrated into a centralized warehouse. The role works under the guidance of a Senior Data Architect and in partnership with SRE to ensure consistent delivery of usable data assets
At Fearless, the Senior Consultant is an expert in data analysis, engineering, and science. This role will possess the necessary skills at an advanced level of proficiency to drive organizational transformation by architecting scalable data platforms, building advanced machine learning solutions, and mentoring customers and teams to become data\-driven organizations. The role involves working with executives, project teams, and internal leaders across departments to identify opportunities where data can accelerate missions, create efficiencies, and deliver technical excellence.
Your Responsibilities in this Role:
Build automated pipelines for DynamoDB data warehouse and GA4 data warehouse.
Implement ingestion, transformation, and loading processes
Ensure pipelines are reliable, repeatable, and scalable
Implement transformations aligned to canonical data models
Prepare analytics\-ready datasets for use in Domo or other tools
Support cross\-system joins and derived metrics
Extend pipeline framework to integrate additional systems (e.g., Airtable)
Handle API integrations, data extraction, and normalization
Adapt to varying data formats and schemas
Implement basic data validation and quality checks
Monitor for missing or inconsistent data, schema changes, and pipeline failures
Collaborate with SRE on alerting and issue resolution
Manage schema changes and ensure backward compatibility where required
Work with architect to evolve models as new insights emerge
Maintain consistency across datasets
Work in two\-week sprint cycles delivering incremental value
Partner with architect on design and modeling decisions
Partner with SRE on pipeline execution and monitoring
Participate in backlog refinement and sprint planning
Build and maintain automated data pipelines (ETL/ELT) in cloud environments, preferably AWS
Deliver production\-ready pipelines for core systems such as DynamoDB and GA4 within an agile, sprint\-based environment
Implement basic data validation, error handling, and monitoring practices
Collaborate with architecture and DevOps teams to ensure pipelines are reliable, scalable, and aligned with broader data models
Contribute to building a repeatable framework that supports future data integrations.

Work Experience
PROJECT SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
4\+ years of experience in data engineering or backend engineering roles
Minimum of four years of experience in data engineering, backend engineering, or software development
Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and working with structured/unstructured data
Demonstrated experience building and maintaining automated data pipelines (ETL/ELT) in cloud environments, preferably AWS
Familiarity with AWS data services and databases (DynamoDB, S3, etc.)
Proficiency in SQL and strong data transformation skills
Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Java)
Hands\-on experience working with both relational and NoSQL databases
Experience integrating APIs and third\-party systems
Experience integrating data from APIs and handling challenges such as authentication, pagination, rate limits, and schema variability
Experience working in agile delivery environments

Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer or during meetings.
Must be able to travel occasionally to client sites or company meetings, which may involve driving or flying.
Ability to communicate effectively via phone, email, and in\-person, requiring clear speech, listening, and written communication skills.
Ability to move within an office environment, including reaching for files, using office equipment, and occasional light lifting (up to 10 pounds).

Minimum Salary: $120,588
Salary Midpoint: $156,764
Maximum Salary: $195,955
Hiring Range for Role: $120,588 \- $130,000
