**Description** ### **POSITION DESCRIPTION:** We are looking for a Director, Site Delivery and Construction to join our Grid \& Energy Services division to lead the physical execution of TransGrid Energy’s edge data center and battery energy storage (BESS) deployment portfolio. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in mission\-critical infrastructure construction – data centers, BESS, electrical substations, or industrial process facilities – and a track record of leading construction project management teams across concurrent multi\-state portfolios. This role works closely with Deployment \& Program Management, Commercial \& JV Development, Solutions Engineering, and our joint venture partner Prime Group, and is accountable for the schedule, budget, safety, and quality of every site we build. This position is remote, with a strong preference for candidates based in the Atlanta, GA metro area. ### **RESPONSIBILITIES** * Lead and grow a team of Construction Project Managers (CPMs), each accountable for a cluster of concurrent edge data center and BESS site builds. Build the organization from an initial 2–3 CPMs to 8–10\+ as the deployment portfolio scales. * Own end\-to\-end construction execution across the deployment portfolio: site readiness, mobilization, civil and structural work, MEP installation, BESS integration, commissioning, and turnover to operations. * Manage General Contractor and major subcontractor relationships at executive level, including national EPCs and regional MEP partners. Run quarterly business reviews, performance scoring, master service agreement negotiations, and bench expansion. * Build and lead an internal Estimating function. Develop reusable cost models and unit\-cost benchmarks across brownfield conversions, BESS sizing tiers, and standard deployment blocks. Drive estimate accuracy as a core competitive metric. * Own construction schedule and budget across the portfolio. Implement the integrated master schedule, cost reporting cadence, and risk register at portfolio level. Escalate critical\-path risk before slippage materializes. * Establish the field safety program, quality assurance protocols, and commissioning readiness checklists. Build the construction side of the deployment playbook in partnership with Deployment \& Program Management. * Serve as the primary construction interface with joint venture partner operations, internal engineering and asset operations teams, and utility construction coordinators on power upgrades and interconnection. * Own a portfolio\-level construction P\&L, including direct labor, subcontractor spend, contingency, and change\-order management. Provide monthly reporting to the VP and joint venture board. ### **REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS** * 12\+ years of construction management experience in mission\-critical infrastructure, including data centers, large\-scale battery energy storage (BESS), electrical substations, utility\-scale renewables, or industrial process facilities. * Demonstrated experience leading a team of Construction Project Managers (minimum 5 direct reports) on a concurrent multi\-state portfolio, with cumulative portfolio responsibility of at least $500M in delivered value. Track record of managing General Contractors and EPCs on individual projects in the $50M–$500M range. * Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience. * Strong working knowledge of General Contractor and EPC contracting structures, change\-order management, lien waivers, schedule of values, and construction safety standards (OSHA 30 at minimum). Demonstrated ability to build and lead an Estimating function or partner closely with one. * Willingness to travel 30–40% across the East Coast initially, expanding nationally as the deployment portfolio grows. Comfortable working on active construction sites in all weather conditions. ### **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS** * Brownfield conversion experience – sites with existing structures, utility constraints, and active operations. * Direct experience with battery energy storage (BESS) construction or large\-scale electrical interconnection projects. * Experience standing up or scaling a deployment organization at a startup, joint venture, or formation\-stage business unit. * PMP, CCM, DBIA, or equivalent professional credentials. PE license a plus. * Familiarity with edge data center deployment models, NeoCloud or hyperscale customers, or HPC/AI workload site requirements. Hanwha Q CELLS America Inc.
