Role Summary
The Director – Business Development is responsible for leading KUR International’s business development strategy across the United States, driving organizational growth through acquisition of new clinical trials, sponsor partnerships, CRO collaborations, and strategic healthcare alliances. This role provides leadership oversight of the business development function and ensures alignment between commercial strategy and operational capacity.
Strategic Business Development \& Organizational Growth
* Develop and execute business development strategies to support revenue growth and expansion across the United States.
* Identify, evaluate, and secure new clinical trial opportunities with sponsors, CROs, biotech, and pharmaceutical companies.
* Expand KUR International’s presence across clinical research sites and healthcare partners.
* Contribute to revenue forecasting, growth planning, and strategic expansion initiatives.
Client Management \& Strategic Relationship Development
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with sponsors, CROs, and healthcare partners.
* Lead sponsor meetings, capability presentations, and business negotiations.
* Represent KUR International at industry conferences and networking events.
* Build long\-term partnerships supporting sustained business growth.
Leadership \& Team Oversight
* Provide leadership and oversight to the Business Development team.
* Establish performance goals, KPIs, and accountability frameworks.
* Mentor and develop team members to strengthen capabilities.
* Foster a collaborative and client\-focused business development culture.
Cross\-Functional Collaboration \& Opportunity Execution
* Partner with clinical operations and project teams to evaluate and onboard studies.
* Ensure smooth transition of awarded opportunities into operational workflows.
* Support feasibility assessments and proposal development.
* Collaborate with marketing and leadership to enhance outreach.
Pipeline Management, Reporting \& Market Intelligence
* Oversee development and management of a strong business development pipeline.
* Ensure accurate tracking of opportunities within CRM systems.
* Monitor KPIs including pipeline strength, conversion rates, and revenue growth.
* Provide reports and strategic insights to executive leadership.
Required Qualifications \& Skills
* Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
* 12–18 years of experience in clinical research business development, CRO, healthcare, or life sciences industry.
* Proven track record of securing clinical trial opportunities.
* Strong understanding of clinical trial operations and site management.
* Demonstrated leadership experience managing business development teams.
* Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
* Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
