Job Description

**This is an early\-stage build. If you want to own a project, this is it.** *Apply with your resume and a short note on the most complex integration or data project you’ve shipped. We read those.* **THE ROLE** We’re building something from scratch, and we need someone who’s done that before. Chris Collins Inc. works with automotive dealerships across the country, and we’ve identified a gap: our clients are sitting on a goldmine of data spread across multiple platforms; their DMS, CRM, inventory tools, and more; but none of it talks to each other in a way that actually tells them where their business is leaking. We’re fixing that. We’re building a SaaS platform that pulls data from the software already running inside dealerships, puts it in one place, and surfaces the performance gaps that are costing them deals. You are the person who builds it. **WHAT YOU’LL DO** – Design and build the platform architecture from the ground up; multi\-tenant, scalable, built to last – Build data ingestion pipelines that pull from third\-party APIs already embedded in dealership operations – Normalize and map disparate data sets against each other to identify meaningful performance trends – Develop the reporting layer that translates raw data into clear, actionable insights for dealership clients – Work directly with our team and early clients to validate what you’re building as you build it – Make architecture decisions; you’ll have real ownership here **LOCATION** This role has flexibility for hybrid. We’re looking for someone who can be in the building 3 times a month not full remote. If you’re local or willing to relocate, let’s talk. **COMPENSATION** $130,000 \- $160,000 base, depending on experience. We’re open on the number for the right person. Requirements: WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR You don’t need a specific stack you need a track record. That said, here’s what matters: – You’ve built a SaaS product before, ideally from zero – You’re comfortable owning both the front end and back end this isn’t a hand\-off role – You have real experience building and maintaining third\-party API integrations – You understand data ETL pipelines, schema design, and how to make sense of messy inputs from multiple sources – Automotive industry experience is a strong plus if you’ve worked with a DMS (CDK, Reynolds \& Reynolds, Dealer Socket, or similar), say so – You can talk to a client not just engineers. When something needs explaining, you can explain it NICE TO HAVE – Direct DMS integration experience – Background in automotive retail or dealer group operations – Experience building analytics or business intelligence tools – Familiarity with multi\-source data reconciliation
