**POSITION SUMMARY:** The Human Resource Generalist position helps supports day\-to\-day HR operations and ensures the organization’s policies, procedures, and programs are effectively implemented. This role assists with HR projects and tasks, providing support to the management company and corporate HR teams. The HR Generalist acts as a key resource for employees and managers, helping maintain a positive, productive workplace. **This is a remote position. We welcome candidates based in Chicago, IL; Fort Myers, FL; and Dallas, TX to apply.** **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** **The following duties may be encompassed for this position. This list is not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.** * Maintains confidential. accurate and up\-to\-date human resource files, records, and documentation. * Conducts or assists with onboarding and orientation activities for the corporate companies. * Completes tasks to support ongoing human resource department projects. * Assists with planning special events such as employee recognition events, holiday parties, and team member celebrations. * Assists with audits, reporting and policy updates. * Prepares HR metrics such as turnover, headcount and other key employment metrics. * Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and occupational health and safety. * Assists with the talent acquisition process for the corporate companies, which may include managing position approval process for, job postings and offer letter creation. * Creates and modifies job descriptions. * Monitors compliance hotline for timely follow up. * Conducts ongoing review of E\-Verify compliance. * Updates and maintains HR forms, policies, etc., publishing in Intranet or other shared locations. * Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. * Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. * Performs other duties as assigned. **QUALIFICATIONS** **To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.** **EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:** Required * 1 year or more of related, demonstrated experience in human resources or a related field. * Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, business management or a related field. Preferred * Certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM\-CP preferred but not required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Language Ability: + Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally. + Ability to read, analyze, and interpret legal documents. + Ability to effectively present information to top management and/or boards of directors. * Cognitive Demands: + Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. * Computer Skills: + Ability to use Microsoft Windows. Must be proficient in Excel. Ability to use email and the Internet. + HRIS knowledge * Competencies: + Ability to work under minimum supervision and demonstrate self\-initiative and willingness to learn + Must be detail\-oriented. + Must be results\-driven and goal oriented. + Must be cognitive and able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. + The ability to multi\-task and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner, often changing assignments on short notice. + Must be supportive of team\-spirited environment + Should possess strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective relationships with Team Members, superiors, and business contacts in a professional, timely and courteous manner. + Demonstrate effective analytical, trouble resolution, and problem\-solving skills **ENVIRONMENTAL ADAPTABILITY** * Works primarily indoors in a climate\-controlled setting. **PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS** **The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
