Jira Administrator - US REMOTE

Overview: Connection has a fantastic opportunity through our Technical Staffing division for a Jira Administrator. This is a contract position working remote with benefits. This role will focus on optimizing Jira environments, supporting project management teams, and building scalable workflows and automations. The ideal candidate is hands\-on, collaborative, and able to transfer knowledge effectively to internal teams. Must be a U.S. Citizen. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time. Responsibilities: * Administer and optimize Jira Cloud environments, including configurations and ongoing system enhancements * Design and implement Jira automations to streamline workflows and improve team efficiency * Create and customize Jira projects, including issue types, workflows, permission schemes, and screen configurations * Partner closely with Project Management teams to gather requirements and deliver tailored Jira solutions * Troubleshoot system issues and provide ongoing support to Jira users * Document configurations, processes, and best practices * Cross\-train internal team members (Merlin Lab employees) on implemented solutions and system usage Qualifications: * 5\+ years of experience as a Jira Administrator * Strong expertise in Jira Cloud, including automations and advanced customizations * Proven experience with project setup and configuration (workflows, schemes, permissions, issue types, etc.) * Ability to collaborate with PM teams and translate business needs into technical solutions * Excellent communication and documentation skills * Experience training or mentoring end users and internal teams * Must be a U.S. Citizen
