Job Description
**Litigation \& Risk Paralegal**
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Litigation \& Risk Paralegal to support our legal department’s Litigation and Risk team. This role will assist attorneys and organizational leadership with litigation support, subpoena and records management, incident review and escalation, and other risk\-related matters and projects across the organization.
The ideal candidate will have strong judgment, exceptional organizational skills, and experience handling sensitive and confidential information.
This is a full\-time, fully remote position.
**Responsibilities**
* Review, process, and coordinate responses to subpoenas, record requests, and other legal demands.
* Communicate with internal departments regarding collection and production of responsive materials.
* Ensure compliance with applicable privacy laws and confidentiality requirements.
* Track requests and maintain documentation related to productions and responses.
* Review critical incident reports and other risk\-related reports for escalation and attorney review based on risk exposure and organizational protocols.
* Monitor and track trends related to incidents, claims, litigation, and risk areas.
* Support development and maintenance of risk management processes and reporting tools.
* Support attorneys with management of litigation matters from pre\-suit through resolution.
* Coordinate collection, review, organization, and production of records and documents.
* Assist with drafting correspondence, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
* Coordinate with outside counsel, third party claims administrators, and insurance carriers as needed.
* Monitor deadlines and assist with ensuring timely responses and productions.
* Collaborate with operational leadership, compliance, quality improvement teams and other departments as needed.
* Assist with special projects as needed.
* Support legal department initiatives and process improvements.
**Qualifications**
* Minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience, preferably supporting litigation, healthcare, risk management, insurance defense, or regulatory matters.
* Bachelor’s degree, paralegal certificate, or associate degree in paralegal studies.
* Strong experience managing subpoenas, records requests, document review, and litigation support functions.
* Familiarity with HIPAA, privacy regulations, and confidential records management.
* Experience with incident review, claims management, or risk assessment processes preferred.
* Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case/document management systems.
* Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
