**Role Overview**
The Mechanical Engineer, designs components and systems to meet customer performance requirements, cost targets, performance efficiency, and ease of build while maintaining serviceability. This engineer creates and maintains CAD models/drawings/specs for various systems utilizing water, air, and DX systems. They also contribute to validation testing setup or process definition for qualifying systems.
**Key Responsibilities**
· Develop, update, and maintain CAD designs/specs for air, liquid, or DX OEM platforms using Autodesk Inventor
· Develop mechanical structures or components to meet customer needs for various equipment
· Evaluate construction methods and determine best system optimized for cost, easy of assembly, serviceability
· Work with vendors to identify the proper components needed for applications at the right cost point to meet customer requirements
· Support unit qualifications and testing
· Provide input on component selections, design improvements, and part qualifications to enhance manufacturability.
· Support designs that meet ASHRAE, SAE, UL, and other standards related to HVAC equipment
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related system experience.
· 2\-4 years experience in OEM mechanical systems.
· Strong understanding of OEM fundamentals: Fluid dynamics; Heat transfer; Coil performance; Valve/actuator sizing; Pump/flow systems; Refrigeration cycles.
· Ability to read and create P\&IDs and mechanical schematics

· Strong analytical skills and comfort with test bench development.
