Senior Software Engineer (REMOTE)- Veterans Affairs

We need a .NET developer who will use their passion to learn new tools and techniques, identify and implement system improvements, and mentor teammates. **Summary:** On our team, you’ll help customers overcome their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches like microservices, domain driven design, n\-tier, etc. Using .NET technologies and Agile lifecycle development, you’ll build and sustain vital applications. You’ll analyze the needs and the environment to make sure the solution you’re developing considers the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia. **Required Qualifications** * 9\+ years of experience developing applications using .Net frameworks and Java in enterprise\-level environments. * Proficiency in developing APIs and back\-end services to support secure data transactions. * 9\+ years of experience with React, Angular, or Vue frameworks for front\-end development. * Expertise in resolving Section 508 compliance issues for web\-based applications and dashboards. * Experience using secure AI\-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Codex, or equivalent platforms to improve developer productivity, testing, modernization, and code quality. * Strong understanding of user\-centered design principles and modern application responsiveness. * Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, Netezza, DB2\). effectively in a collaborative team environment and lead technical initiatives. **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience in the Federal Government, Veterans Affairs, or Healthcare IT sectors * Experience with Azure and specific experience with Web App Server IIS 8\.5, .NET 4\.5\.2, and MS SQL Server 2016 * Angular/Typescript experience * Iris/ObjectScript experience * Experience writing windows services/tasks * Experience configuring and maintaining IIS * Experience using Fortify and other static code analysis tools * Microsoft Threat Modeling tool experience * Visual Studio Code experience in addition to Visual Studio * Knowledge of 508 compliance requirements and knowledge of Agile frameworks * SAFe Certifications **Compensation:** The salary is budgeted at $150,000\-$160,000 annually, plus benefits.
