Staff Site Reliability Engineer

**Description** ### **POSITION DESCRIPTION:** We are looking for a Staff **Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)** to join our Grid \& Energy Services team to ensure our systems are highly available, scalable, and reliable in production environments. This role will focus on system performance, observability, and operational excellence across cloud\-based and distributed systems supporting energy infrastructure. ### **LOCATION \& WORK ARRANGEMENT** **This role is remote, however, the candidate(s) will be expected to relocate at their own expense to our onsite Houston location by** ***Q1 in 2027\**** * Q1 2027 is an approximate timeframe and is subject to change at any time ### **RESPONSIBILITIES** * Design, implement, and maintain reliable, scalable infrastructure and services for production systems. * Monitor system health, performance, and availability using observability and alerting tools. * Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive incident resolution. * Build and improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and system automation. * Collaborate with software, QA, and platform teams to improve system reliability and performance. * Implement and support SRE best practices, including SLIs, SLOs, and incident response processes. * Contribute to automation and AI\-driven operational workflows where applicable. ### **REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS** * 8\+ years of experience in software engineering, SRE, DevOps, or a related technical field. * Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and distributed systems. * Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills in production environments. * Experience with monitoring, alerting, and observability tools. * Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and deployment workflows. * Travel may be required up to 10% depending on business needs. ### **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS** * Experience in energy, utilities, or renewable systems (solar preferred). * Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes). * Experience with infrastructure\-as\-code and automation frameworks. * Exposure to AI/ML\-driven monitoring or operational tooling.
