**Strategic Materials Subject Matter Expert** Remote \| Secret Clearance Required ***If you want to apply your expertise in strategic and critical materials to support defense industrial base resiliency efforts and work for a company that values professionalism, experience, teamwork, and mission impact, we would love to talk.*** **Why This Role Exists** *The work we do has real impact, and the people behind it matter just as much.* The Strategic Materials Subject Matter Expert will support the DLA J68 Research and Development (R\&D), Small Business Innovation Program (SBIP), involving small business contracts in all phases of research (Phase I and II) as well as transition (Phase III). **What You Will Do** * Provides technical review of R\&D projects for groundbreaking and innovative ideas in the field of strategic and critical materials, rare earths recycling, industrial base assessments to assess the potential for development and promote technical solutions to dangerous and costly reliance on foreign sources of supply for critical and strategic materials. * Assist support team PM and DLA PM as a high\-level technical specialist advising DLA R\&D SBIP PMO on the research and reporting of all technical requirements for strategic materials industrial processes, recycling, and research and development under Strategic Materials PM’s materials portfolio. * Provides guidance and leadership to evaluate/resolve SBIR/STTR project requirements and problems. * Provide comprehensive management advisory and technical services on substantive functions and practices; develop innovative methods, approaches, or procedures; identify, evaluate, and DLA Information Operations (J68\) Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Research and Development (R\&D) Small Business Innovation Program (SBIP) recommend appropriate solutions to resolve complex defense industrial base (DIB) problems and issues; and formulate and present findings, briefings, project papers, status reports, and correspondence to foster understanding and acceptance of findings and recommendations. * Coordinates the efforts of multiple projects to achieve optimum overall results in a timely manner and at minimum cost. Supports Contract Administrators, Senior Advisor and Program Managers as assigned. * Conduct In\-Process Reviews (IPRs) as needed and provide information regarding task status. IPRs should provide and interchange between government and contractor DLA Information Operations (J68\) Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Research and Development (R\&D) Small Business Innovation Program (SBIP) during execution of the task order (e.g., Source Approval Request (SAR) progress; pending transitions, missed milestones, technical progress, etc.). **What We Are Looking For** *Required:* * Master’s degree plus relevant work experience in the field of strategic and critical materials, recycling, and industrial base assessments * Demonstrated subject matter expertise in the critical and strategic materials technology areas with a degree in science, engineering, or technical subject area * Master’s degree plus at least seven (7\) years of relevant work experience or a Doctoral degree plus at least four (4\) years of relevant work experience preferred * Minimum Tier 3 Secret clearance **Clearance and Eligibility** * Active Tier 3 Secret clearance required * Restricted to U.S. persons as defined under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3\) **Location** * Remote * May be required to travel in support of this contract **Who We Are** *At D\&G Solutions, people come first; our teammates, customers, and the communities we serve.* We are one of the fastest growing companies in the Washington, DC area and proud to be recognized nationally as a Best Place to Work.
