**Test Associate (Contract)** *Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions. If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Microsoft.* **Summary:** This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a critical hybrid cloud storage solution that bridges on\-premises infrastructure with cloud services. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring product quality through comprehensive testing, validation, and quality assurance activities. This role requires a self\-motivated professional who can work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with development teams. The position demands strong technical expertise combined with excellent analytical and communication skills to identify, document, and resolve complex software issues. Working in a dynamic environment, you will be responsible for executing comprehensive test strategies, maintaining detailed documentation, and ensuring the highest quality standards are met throughout the software development lifecycle. **Job Responsibilities:** * Execute test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures to validate system functionality and performance * Test system modifications and updates to prepare for implementation and deployment * Develop comprehensive testing programs that address database impacts, software scenarios, and usability considerations * Document software defects using bug tracking systems and report findings to software developers * Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen content, and overall system behavior * Monitor bug resolution efforts, track successes, and ensure timely closure of identified issues * Create and maintain databases of known test defects for reference and trend analysis * Plan test schedules and strategies in accordance with project scope and delivery dates * Participate in daily scrum meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and coordinate with team members * Track progress against monthly plans broken down into daily tasks and deliverables * Contribute to the validation and support of hybrid cloud storage solutions and customer scenarios **Requirements:** * Minimum 10 years of software testing experience * Minimum 10 years of experience with server and Azure technologies * Minimum 10 years of scripting experience in any scripting language * Proven track record of writing test documentation such as test plans, scripts, and test results reports * Experience analyzing and interpreting test results with ability to provide actionable recommendations * Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new products and technologies * Associate's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or related field * Software testing methodologies and best practices * Test documentation creation including test plans, scripts, and results reports * Azure cloud platform technologies and services * Windows Server administration and configuration * Scripting languages for test automation and system management * Bug tracking systems and defect management tools * Database testing and validation techniques * Strong analytical and problem\-solving abilities * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision * Self\-motivation and proactive approach to learning new technologies * Attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance **Additional Details:** * Location: Remote * Duration: 2 months * Pay Range\*: $30\.50 \- $34\.50 per hour * Weekly Schedule: 40 hours * Job Status: Non\-Exempt * Application Deadline: Apply within 72 hours of the posting date to ensure consideration. **This role is eligible for the following benefits:** * Medical, dental \& vision * Hospital plans * 401(k) Retirement Plan – Pre\-tax and Roth post\-tax contributions available * Life Insurance (Company paid Basic Life and AD\&D as well as voluntary Life \& AD\&D for the employee and dependents) * Company paid short and long\-term disability * Health \& Dependent Care Spending Accounts (HSA \& DCFSA) * Employee Assistance Program * Time Off/Leave(PTO, Allegis Group Paid Family Leave, Parental Leave *Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.* *AGS is an Equal Opportunity Employer and will consider all applications without regard to race, sex, age, color, religion, national origin, veteran status, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information or any characteristic protected by law.* *If you require a reasonable accommodation related to the application or interview process due to a disability, please email* *accommodation@allegisglobalsolutions.com**.
