**Description** ### **POSITION DESCRIPTION****:** We are looking for a **Lead UX Architect** to join our Grid \& Energy Services team to shape the entire end\-to\-end user experience across our Energy Management Services portfolio. These products are industry\-leading, very cutting\-edge and will span across a few of our platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience in defining a user experience and journey across multiple products, preferably in the energy sector. You will work closely with our key teams here and have a chance to create a vision across Quells line of energy, solar and Data center products. ### **LOCATION \& WORK ARRANGEMENT** **This role is remote; however, the candidate(s) will be expected to relocate at their own expense to our onsite Houston location by** ***Q1 in 2027\**** * Q1 2027 is an approximate timeframe and is subject to change at any time ### **RESPONSIBILITIES** * Shape and drive a unified user journey and experience across the full Energy Management Services suite of products. * Define UX principles, patterns and standards that ensure consistency, usability and a cohesive brand experience. * Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and domain experts to turn business goals and user needs into intuitive, high\-impact experiences. * Lead user research, journey mapping, and usability testing with operators, engineers, facility managers, and executive stakeholders. ### **REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS** * 8\+ years of progressive experience in UX, interaction, or product design, including 3\+ years’ operating at a lead, principal, or architect level. * Proven success shaping and delivering UX strategy across complex, data\-heavy enterprise or operational platforms. * Deep expertise in building and scaling design systems, including component libraries, design tokens, and driving adoption across teams. * Strong portfolio showcasing excellence in information architecture, interaction design, and visual design for sophisticated user workflows. * Experience leading or managing UI/front\-end engineers, including prioritization, mentorship, and performance guidance. * Proficiency with modern design tools such as Figma, along with solid familiarity with front\-end technologies like React, TypeScript, and web components to collaborate effectively with engineering. * Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence both executive stakeholders and individual contributors. * Bachelor’s degree in design, Human\-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or related field — or equivalent professional experience. ### **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS** * Experience designing for energy management, utilities, smart grid, data center operations, industrial IoT, or related operational\-technology domains. * Demonstrated experience designing AI\-powered or ML\-driven user experiences, including generative AI, copilots, recommendations, or predictive analytics interfaces. * Familiarity with time\-series data visualization, telemetry dashboards, control systems, or SCADA\-adjacent workflows. * Experience working in a multi\-product portfolio or platform organization. * Background contributing to or leading accessibility, sustainability, or inclusive design initiatives.
