Our Client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Backend Engineer to join its engineering team and build robust, scalable, and maintainable APIs and backend services. This position is ideal for a senior\-level backend engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems, writing clean and readable code, and taking significant ownership in a fast\-paced startup environment. The successful candidate will work closely with Frontend, Design, and Product teams to build scalable solutions supporting property investors, vendors, tenants, and internal operations teams. The ideal candidate will bring strong Java backend development experience, a deep understanding of data structures and algorithms, strong debugging and performance optimization skills, and a collaborative startup mindset. . **Location:** Remote – United States **Job Type:** Full\-Time **Compensation:** $130,000 – $170,000 per year Key Responsibilities Build and maintain robust, scalable, and reliable APIs and backend services. Write clean, minimal, readable, maintainable, and easy\-to\-understand code. Develop backend solutions using Java and modern cloud infrastructure. Design and implement services capable of supporting highly scalable applications and workloads. Debug complex software issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
