**Email Marketing Strategist (Contract)** TYPE: 1099 Contractor (Part\-Time) LOCATION: Remote (USA, Eastern Time Zone preferred) COMPENSATION: Hourly (aligned with experience and scope) **Meet Team Thrive** We are a marketing agency making waves across education, entertainment, healthcare, social good, sports, and all the spaces where these industries intersect. We operate in a fast\-paced, high\-performance environment with a focus on delivering thoughtful, results\-driven campaigns. **The Role** The Email Marketing Strategist is responsible for developing and executing high\-performing email marketing strategies that drive engagement, conversion, and retention. This role requires a high level of autonomy, ownership, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate is experienced in lifecycle marketing, audience segmentation, and campaign optimization, and is capable of producing polished, production\-ready work while managing campaigns from concept through deployment with minimal oversight. **The Responsibilities** ***Strategy Development*** * Develop email marketing strategies aligned with client goals, including acquisition, engagement, retention, and conversion * Define audience segmentation and lifecycle approaches to support personalized, targeted communication * Identify opportunities to improve performance across campaigns, flows, and overall email programs ***Campaign Planning \& Execution*** * Plan, build, and deploy email campaigns, including newsletters, promotional emails, and automated flows * Manage campaign timelines and ensure all emails are executed accurately and on schedule * Ensure all campaigns align with brand voice, messaging, and overall marketing strategy ***Lifecycle \& Automation*** * Develop and manage email automation workflows (welcome series, nurture campaigns, re\-engagement, etc.) * Continuously refine lifecycle strategies to improve user experience and performance * Ensure automation is functioning correctly and delivering intended outcomes ***Content Development \& Quality Assurance*** * Write and/or oversee the development of email copy that is clear, engaging, and aligned with brand voice * Ensure all emails are thoroughly reviewed for accuracy, formatting, links, and functionality prior to deployment * Deliver work that is complete, accurate, and ready for deployment without requiring significant revision * Maintain a high standard of quality and attention to detail across all deliverables ***Performance Analysis \& Optimization*** * Analyze campaign performance, including open rates, click\-through rates, conversions, and revenue impact * Identify trends and provide clear recommendations for optimization * Implement testing and iteration strategies to improve performance over time ***Platform Management \& Compliance*** * Execute campaigns within email platforms (e.g., Klaviyo, Mailchimp, HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, etc.) * Ensure best practices are followed for deliverability, list hygiene, and compliance (CAN\-SPAM, GDPR where applicable) * Maintain organized and accurate data within email and CRM systems ***Collaboration*** * Collaborate with internal teams to align email campaigns with broader marketing initiatives * Communicate clearly regarding timelines, deliverables, and performance insights * Support integration of email efforts with social, digital, and campaign strategies **This Role is Perfect For You If…** * You are highly detail\-oriented and take pride in producing accurate, error\-free work * You are comfortable working independently and managing your own workflow * You take ownership of your work and consistently deliver high\-quality outputs that are ready for final use * You have a strong understanding of email marketing strategy and lifecycle development * You are both analytical and creative, able to interpret data and apply it to strategy **Required Qualifications** * 4–6\+ years of experience in email marketing, CRM, or lifecycle marketing * Proven experience developing and executing email marketing strategies * Hands\-on experience with email platforms (e.g., Klaviyo, Mailchimp, HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, etc.) * Strong understanding of segmentation, personalization, and automation workflows * Experience analyzing performance data and optimizing campaigns * Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to delivering error\-free work * Proven ability to independently manage and execute campaigns with minimal oversight **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience working in an agency or client\-facing environment * Basic understanding of HTML/CSS for email * Experience integrating email with broader digital marketing campaigns * Strong written communication and copywriting skills **Additional Details** * 1099 Contractor role * Hourly rate aligned with experience and scope * Part\-time, project\-based work Pay: $45\.00 \- $65\.00 per hour Work Location: Remote
