**Looking for experienced, energetic, and approachable SAT/ACT tutors who enjoy teaching.** **About us:** Kabir's Prep is a botique tutoring organization that specializes in test prep tutoring services and content creation. We provide test prep services for SAT,ACT,MCAT, and college admissions. Our students are 50% located in Michigan and 50% abroad. We provide VIRTUAL as well as on site tutoring. Our student population is racially diverse but significantly driven with a large majority looking to score in the top percentile. We cater to providing an exceptional experience for students and parents with professional tutoring and a seamless polished experience. **Job Description:** * **Remote tutoring in a one on one setting over zoom.** * **Content experts:** you should be an expert either in SAT/ACT Math, Writing/Grammar, Reading. You do not need to be an expert in all of them. That means you need to know the knowledge cold for these subjects as well as have a fair amount of knowledge of strategy. If you are an applicant who proficient in all subjects we tend to compensate more. * **Hours:** We want someone who is flexible and can work anywhere from 20\-40 hours a week. This can include wekeends or weekdays based on limitation by the applicant. * **Energy:** we want lively tutors who make learning fun and positive. We want someone who is approachable but also an expert in the information. * **Technology**: need an iPad with pencil to boardcast and a computer for web cam broadcasting for the instructor. If you don't have an Ipad a substitute will work as well. We do not provide this as part of the job but we will guide you on what to buy need be. **What We Offer:** * **Flexible scheduling\-** you can decide the days and times you work based on classes we have scheduled as listed above. * **Remote only** position. We prefer domestic applicants due to timezone differences * **Resource support\-** Unlike other places where you may have cumbersome curriculum development. None here is needed. We provide students with fully customized books over 2600 pages of written documentation over material, 4000 custom questions with explanations, in\-depth analysis over topic areas of weaknesses and ability to customize it, 133 hours of recorded video, and explanations over real exam material. * **Attractive compensation\-** our range of pay for a tutor is 50\-85 dollars a hour. We also compensate you at the same rate for prep time. All time: meeting, time over class, teaching time, and question time is compensated the same way. * **Career opportunity\-**We have great career opportunity for those interested. We have very little to no actual turn over. We are looking for long term retention and look towards principles to make people happy: autonomy, compensation, work\-life balance, and involvement/appreciation. We give raises yearly, have job security, and have other adjunct jobs like proctoring, one on one help, and follow up with parents if someone desires more hours. * **Offer a W2 or 1099 status** depending on the applicant and how they prefer to work * **Retention:** This position is a multi\-year position with long term career growth. We retain most of our staff if possible and value this over retraining and hiring new. * **Time off:** unpaid time off permitted at any time with notice. unscheduled time off parental leave, bereavement, and sick days are no problem. Paid time off or other bonuses offered based on length of work, rate, and experience. All holidays are off. All weekends are off. * **Maternity leave:** After the first year maternity leave permitted for full time employees that are w2 with up to 3 months off and 6 of those weeks paid leave. * **Leadership:** we have an involved CEO and editors that will help grow your skill and be as supportive and direct with feedback. * **Insurance:** We offer either insurance coverage or a stipend for all employees depending on their full/ part time status **Requirements:** * **Professionalism\-** be a team player. carry yourself appropriately, communication is prompt and courteous. * **Team player and flexible\-** We want to provide full time hours and that means time not spent with one on ones can be done prepping, calling parents, and working with team members to develop new curriculum. We are always busy so we want someone who is autonomous, open to feedback, and takes initiative to being at a higher level of quality. * **Background check\-** At this time we are unable to accept applicants with any criminal history and you will have to undergo a background check. * **NDA\-** You have to sign a NDA working here. * **Non solicitation\-** you cannot solicit students or advertise your services in anyway here while teaching. * **Technology\-** have an iPad or equivalent for whiteboard presentation over zoom and a separate computer to showcase your ownself on screen. * **Test knowledge\-** in\-depth sat/act test knowledge. were looking for people with 100s if of hours of tutoring. We want someone with extensive teaching experience. * **Bachelors degree:** minimum education is a bachelors degree from a 4 year university. Can start as soon as the next few weeks if possible. We prefer applicants with a cover letter and resume. Our interview will be a sample SAT/ACT question that we will ask for you to explain to us and a gauge of your personality. We will clarify your salary before starting.
