We are looking for an experienced **Senior Mainframe Application Programmer** to join our team and contribute to the development, maintenance, and modernization of critical enterprise systems. **Position Summary** -------------------- The Senior Mainframe Application Programmer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, implementing, and supporting complex mainframe applications and enterprise systems. This role requires deep expertise in mainframe technologies, strong problem\-solving skills, and the ability to lead technical initiatives while collaborating with cross\-functional teams. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in COBOL\-based environments, mainframe databases, transaction processing systems, and enterprise application architecture. **Key Responsibilities** * Design, develop, enhance, and maintain complex mainframe applications and software solutions. * Analyze business and system requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions. * Create and maintain application architecture, technical specifications, and program documentation. * Develop, test, debug, and implement software enhancements and new functionality. * Work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to validate requirements and ensure successful delivery. * Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing application support. * Perform system integration activities between hardware and software components. * Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices. * Optimize system performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability. * Ensure compliance with security, governance, and information assurance standards.
