Senior Power BI / SQL Developer

About the Role We are looking for an experienced Senior Power BI / SQL Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise reporting and analytics solutions for a financial services organization. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in Power BI, SQL Server, and data modeling with experience working with credit union or banking reporting platforms and data sources. What You'll Do **Core System Programming \& Support:** * Design, develop, test, and maintain custom scripts, batch processes, and host\-based applications to support operational and member service needs. * Configure and maintain core system parameters, jobs, queues, and host settings. * Troubleshoot core system issues and implement solutions within the platform. * Support implementation and configuration of e\-signature and document management solutions. * Collaborate with business units to gather requirements and design core\-based solutions that support new products, process improvements, and strategic initiatives. **Reporting \& Analytics:** * Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations to support business intelligence and decision\-making. * Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions to extract, transform, and load data from multiple source systems. * Build and optimize data models and semantic layers for reporting and analytics. * Develop and manage Power BI datasets, dataflows, and workspaces including row\-level security and access controls. * Create and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to support data warehouse and reporting needs. **Collaboration \& Documentation:** * Serve as a liaison between IT and business departments for core system and reporting initiatives. * Create and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and training materials. * Provide end\-users with timely updates and resolution status. * Support data governance and compliance efforts, particularly around financial and regulatory reporting. Requirements * 5\+ years of experience working with core banking platforms, host\-based applications, and batch processing in a credit union or banking environment. * Proficiency in core system scripting and report development. * 3\+ years of hands\-on experience with Power BI development (DAX, Power Query/M, data modeling). * Strong experience writing advanced SQL (SQL Server preferred). * Understanding of relational databases, data warehousing concepts, and dimensional modeling. * Ability to translate business requirements into actionable technical specifications. * Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively with both technical and non\-technical stakeholders. Nice to Have * Experience with e\-signature platforms and document management systems. * Familiarity with regulatory and compliance reporting (GLBA, FFIEC, NCUA). * Experience with ETL/ELT tools and processes (SSIS, Azure Data Factory, or similar). * Knowledge of RPG, iSeries/AS400, HTML, JavaScript, JSON, or XML. * Experience with Azure cloud services (Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Lake). * Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis. Other Duties Perform other job\-related duties as assigned, including supporting testing, data migration, software updates, releases, conversions, and implementation of new platforms or system upgrades. Pay: $50\.00 \- $60\.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 40\.0 per week Work Location: Remote
