Specification Development Manager

SUMMARY: Greentech Renewables is a solar equipment distributor and distributes a full range of solar equipment to thousands of contractors throughout the United States, Caribbean, and Latin America, enabling solar installers to easily and cost\-effectively design, sell, and install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. We are seeking a detail\-oriented Specification Development Manager to develop and maintain relationships with engineering firms, owner's engineers, MEP firms, ESCOs, utilities, and design consultants that influence equipment specifications within CSI Divisions 26, 33, and 48\. Increase specification pull\-through, identify future project opportunities, and position the company as a trusted technical distribution partner. REPORTS TO: Director of Engineering MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Technical sales experience (proven track record in creating the relationship and uncovering opportunities) * Electrical distribution or renewable energy experience * Strong networking and presentation skills * Understanding commercial solar, energy storage, and electrical systems * Familiarity with consulting engineering and construction markets WORKING CONDITIONS: * Remote work on a small team, with multiple weekly check\-ins * Constant travel to build relationships * Work standard business hours of 8am to 5pm within your time zone or within the time zone of the Division assigned COMPENSATION: The compensation range for this position is $100,000 to $110,000 annually OTHER COMPENSATION: The following additional compensation may be applicable for this position: * Commission BENEFITS: Benefits available for this position are: * Insurance \- Medical, Dental, Vision Care for full\-time positions * Insurance \- Medical only for part\-time positions, 30\+ hours/week * Disability Insurance * Life Insurance * 401(k) * Paid Sick Leave * Paid Holidays * Paid Vacation SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Relationship Development: * Build and maintain relationships with engineering and consulting firms. * Map key influencers within target organizations. * Develop territory\-based specifier account plans. * Conduct regular outreach through meetings, presentations, webinars, and site visits. * Maintain contact database and engagement strategy Opportunity Development * Identify projects in planning and design phases. * Track opportunities 6\-24 months before procurement. * Provide visibility to sales and business unit teams. * Monitor specification trends and emerging technologies. Market Engagement * Coordinate lunch and learn. * Organize technical webinars. * Sponsor engineering and industry events. * Promote manufacturer roadmaps and product launches. Internal Coordination * Connect engineering firms with manufacturer resources. * Introduce Technical Sales Specialists when detailed design support is needed. * Coordinate with branch sales teams and project developers. * Maintain CRM records and outreach activity metrics.
