These values are achieved through generous vacation and sick leave policies, flexible work arrangements, an autonomous work environment, continuous and engaging training, state\-of\-the\-art technology and automation, and comprehensive health insurance with 401(k) matching. **Salary \+ Benefits:** * $84,000 to $125,000 base compensation (DOE), plus bonus * Overtime and sick pay * 401(k) plan with profit\-sharing * Flexible work schedule * Work from home * Over 30 days of paid vacation and firm holidays * Health insurance * Firm\-sponsored continuing education **Responsibilities:** * Oversee the bookkeeping department, including supervising bookkeepers, assigning and balancing workloads, keeping client projects on schedule, and covering during absences. * Review bookkeepers' work for accuracy and give constructive feedback that supports their growth. * Lead new client system setups and account cleanups, and set up clear, efficient workflows for the team. * Conduct prospective client consultations to assess bookkeeping needs, determine scope of services, provide pricing, and manage the engagement and onboarding process. * Create and maintain accounting and bookkeeping procedures so process documentation stays current and consistent. * Manage month\-end and year\-end close, and prepare financial packets for the tax team. * Serve as the main point of contact for accounting clients on issues, new projects, and questions. * Lead the growth of the accounting and bookkeeping department, including scaling services, identifying opportunities to expand client offerings, and training and developing team members. * Find and implement AI tools and automations that streamline bookkeeping workflows, reduce manual data entry, and improve accuracy and turnaround times. **Requirements:** * 5\+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, including general ledger, reconciliations, closing, and financial reporting * 2\+ years of supervisory or management experience * Real estate accounting experience (rental properties, multiple entities, etc.) * Experience working with CPAs and tax preparers * Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online, spreadsheets, and cloud\-based platforms * Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize competing deadlines * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Team player with a collaborative, solutions\-focused mindset **Preferred:** * QuickBooks Online Advanced Certification * Associate degree or higher in Accounting Job Type: Full\-time Pay: $84,000\.00 \- $125,000\.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) * Continuing education credits * Flexible schedule * Health insurance * Paid time off Work Location: Remote
