**Note: East Coast required. Preferred technician in similar large digital print/textile industry. Must be able to travel up to 60%. Direct Hire \- Full Time!** **Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa.** This role requires a highly experienced **Service Engineer/Technician** working as part of a team in the textile printing supplier industry. This role is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues related to textile printing equipment, inks, and substrates, both remotely and onsite at customer locations. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in mechanical, electrical, and software troubleshooting, along with a strong understanding of textile profiling, ink interactions, and print quality optimization. **Essential Job Functions \& Key Responsibilities** * Diagnose and resolve technical issues with textile printing equipment and consumables, including mechanical, electrical, and software\-related problems. * Analyze and troubleshoot print quality issues, ink performance, and textile compatibility, advising customers on best practices for optimal results. * Provide remote and onsite support for customers, including troubleshooting via phone, email, and video conferencing, and the appropriate level of timely escalation to meet and exceed customer needs and expectations. * Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on various transfer paper and textile Grand Format digital printing machines and related finishing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. * Train customers on proper equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques. * Collaborate with engineering, R\&D, and product support teams to identify recurring issues and develop long\-term solutions. * Assist in the installation of new printing equipment and calibrate machines to meet production specifications and quality standards. * Provide technical support to production staff, addressing equipment and consumable\-related issues promptly and effectively to maintain continuous operations. * Assist with installation and commissioning of new textile printing systems. * Stay up to date with industry trends, new printing technologies, and software updates to provide informed support to customers. * Perform preventive maintenance, calibrations, and repairs to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance. * Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to extend equipment lifespan and reduce unexpected breakdowns. * Maintain detailed service reports, diagnostic logs, and customer interactions in the company’s service management system * Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance to track trends and identify areas for improvement. * Ensure compliance with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines when performing service tasks. * Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, promoting a safe working environment for all team members. **Skills, Qualifications \& Experience** * 5\+ years of experience in field service, preferably in the textile printing or digital printing industry. * Expertise in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and software\-related issues in industrial printing equipment. * Experience with RIP software, ICC profiling, and color management. * Strong problem\-solving skills with the ability to work independently under pressure. * Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly. * Ability to lift heavy equipment, stand for extended periods, and work in various environmental conditions. * Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites for onsite service and support. **Preferred Qualifications** * A basic knowledge of textile substrates, ink chemistry, color profiling, and print process optimization is a plus. **Working Conditions** * Ability to travel regionally on a regular basis and statewide as needed. Up 75% of the time. * Occasionally work in locations with large machinery and heavy materials, in varied climatic conditions. * Occasionally there might be a need to work nights or weekends depending on workload and customer commitments and responsibilities.
