Insurance Agent

Overview

As an Insurance Agent, you’ll help individuals and businesses understand their coverage options and choose policies that fit their needs. You’ll build lasting client relationships through responsive service, clear communication, and thoughtful follow-up. This role combines insurance sales with customer care, sales administration, and outreach.

Duties

• Identify prospective clients through outside sales, retail sales, telemarketing, and marketing activities; explain available coverage and support informed decisions.
• Assess client needs and discuss health, life, property and casualty, and commercial insurance options, including benefits administration where applicable.
• Prepare quotes, negotiate policy terms within authorized guidelines, process applications, and maintain accurate records in a customer relationship management (CRM) system.
• Provide ongoing customer service, handle client communication and policy questions, and coordinate follow-up on changes or claims.
• Your impact: By matching clients with suitable coverage and explaining next steps clearly, you help individuals and businesses make more confident decisions about protecting their health, property, and financial well-being.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, customer relationship building, customer service, negotiation, and analysis skills; experience in insurance sales or sales administration is helpful.
• Knowledge of insurance regulation and relevant privacy requirements, including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA); familiarity with health insurance, life insurance, property and casualty insurance, or commercial insurance is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and a CRM system; familiarity with benefits administration is an asset.
• Bilingual or multilingual communication skills are valued, along with experience in outside sales, retail sales, marketing, or telemarketing.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
