Responsibilities

• Lead the development and maintenance of backend systems using Java, ensuring adherence to best practices in software engineering and system design.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and translate them into scalable architecture solutions.
• Oversee the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including planning, coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
• Drive the adoption of Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban to promote efficient project delivery.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs, web services (SOAP), and microservices architectures to facilitate seamless integration across platforms.
• Ensure system scalability, performance optimization, and security by applying principles of distributed computing and cloud infrastructure (AWS or Azure).
• Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and promote best practices in version control (GitHub, TFS), unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, and debugging techniques.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Lead Java Developer or similar senior role with a strong portfolio of enterprise-level applications.
• Extensive knowledge of Java frameworks such as Hibernate, Spring Boot (including ASP.NET Core for cross-platform development), and MVC architecture.
• Proficiency in front-end development using React, Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and related UI technologies.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
• Strong understanding of system design principles for distributed systems and scalable web applications.
• Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS or Azure for deploying and managing applications in cloud environments.
• Expertise in API development (RESTful APIs), web services (SOAP), UML modeling for system design, and application security best practices.
• Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker or Kubernetes is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on debugging complex issues across multiple layers of technology stacks.
• Ability to lead projects effectively within an Agile framework while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
