Compensation: $30- $35 per hour of active interpretation

About the Role

We are looking for fluent Marshallese ⇄ English Bilingual Interpreters to provide accurate, professional, and confidential interpretation services for healthcare, educational, and other community-related conversations.

As an interpreter, you will serve as a communication bridge between Marshallese and English speakers, helping ensure clear understanding while maintaining neutrality, accuracy, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide real-time Marshallese ⇄ English interpretation.
• Interpret conversations accurately without adding, omitting, or changing information.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and professional ethics.
• Communicate clearly, neutrally, and with cultural awareness.
• Handle sensitive conversations calmly and professionally.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in medical, educational, community, or over-the-phone interpretation is an advantage.
• Excellent active listening and communication skills.
• Ability to remain composed in fast-paced or emotionally sensitive situations.
• Professional, reliable, and detail-oriented.

Minimum Schedule Commitment

Applicants must be able to commit to:

• 3 hours per day
• 5 days per week
• 30 hours minimum per week

This commitment is mandatory.

Work Schedule and Requirements

• Working Hours: Within the 9:00 AM–6:00 PM US Eastern Time window.
• Work Setup: 100% Work From Home.
• Job Type: Full-time or part-time, subject to the minimum schedule requirement.
• Language Requirement: Fluency in both Marshallese and English.
