Work Schedule and Hours
This is a flexible, part-time opportunity, with scheduling dependent on the needs of the assigned agency. For the current assignment with Confluence, the primary need is vacation coverage for its US-based coding team.
Ideally, the selected coder should be available for approximately 8 hours during US business hours to ensure adequate coverage and alignment with the agency’s operating schedule. Other assignments may have different scheduling requirements.
Project Duration
This is an open-ended engagement, depending on ongoing demand for US-based medical coders. Current needs include vacation coverage for Confluence, with potential opportunities for test charts and other projects requiring US-based coding support.
The opportunity may continue as long as there are active assignments and business needs.
Training and Onboarding
Candidates are expected to have the necessary coding knowledge and experience to work independently. Initial training will focus on agency-specific workflows, systems, documentation standards, and submission procedures.
The duration of orientation will vary depending on the agency’s requirements and the candidate’s familiarity with the workflow. Training will focus on internal processes rather than basic medical coding instruction.
