**Salary range:**$57,000 \- $72,000 annually ($95,000 to $120,000 full time equivalent)
**Role Description**
Metrasens is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to support all aspects of Human Resources across its US and UK operations. Reporting to senior leadership, the role will serve as the primary HR partner to managers and employees, providing practical support across the full employee lifecycle while ensuring the effective and compliant delivery of HR activities.
With responsibility for approximately 80 employees across both US and UK businesses, the role will be primarily focused on the US organization from an employment law and compliance perspective, while also overseeing UK HR activities in partnership with the Company's outsourced UK HR advisor.
In addition to day\-to\-day HR operations, the successful candidate will contribute to the development and implementation of people initiatives that support employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, talent retention and business growth. This is a hands\-on role for a commercially minded HR professional who enjoys working closely with leadership to translate business objectives into effective people practices.
The role is based in the USA Metrasens office in Naperville, Illinois, and will require infrequent travel (likely once to twice annually) to the UK office.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Act as the primary HR contact for employees and managers across the US and UK businesses.
* Lead the delivery of day\-to\-day HR activities across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, benefits administration and offboarding.
* Ensure compliance with applicable US federal, state and local employment legislation and HR best practices.
* Oversee UK HR activities and coordinate with the Company's outsourced UK HR advisor to ensure appropriate compliance and support on UK employment matters.
* Provide practical advice and guidance to managers on employee relations, performance, conduct, attendance, development and workplace issues.
* Maintain and develop HR policies, procedures and employee documentation to support legal compliance and organizational effectiveness.
* Support recruitment activity and talent acquisition initiatives, partnering with hiring managers and external recruitment providers as required.
* Produce HR reports, workforce metrics and people insights to support business decision\-making.
* Contribute to the development of people strategies and initiatives that support employee engagement, retention, performance and organizational culture.
* Lead and support the implementation of agreed people programs and organizational development initiatives.
* Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, employee experience and overall organizational effectiveness.
* Support business change activities and help ensure successful communication and adoption of people\-related initiatives.
**Required Experience \& Skills**
* Proven experience in a broad HR Generalist, HR Business Partner or similar HR role.
* Strong knowledge of US employment law, employee relations and HR best practices.
* Experience supporting all core HR disciplines, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits administration.
* Demonstrable experience contributing to people initiatives, employee engagement programmes or organisational development activities.
* Ability to partner effectively with business leaders and provide pragmatic, commercially focused HR advice.
* Experience operating within a small or medium\-sized business environment.
* Strong problem\-solving, communication and relationship\-building skills.
* Ability to analyse workforce information and translate insights into practical recommendations and actions.
* Experience working within international organisations or exposure to UK employment practices would be advantageous.
* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline preferred; SHRM or HRCI certification desirable.
* Excellent written and verbal communication, organization and relationship\-building skills.
