Job Description

About Infinite Academics

Infinite Academics is an education company that helps students raise their SAT scores, work through the college admissions process, complete strong applications, and write better college essays. We work with families who care a lot about their child's future, and we take that responsibility seriously.

Position Overview

We have a large database of cold and older leads that need steady, professional follow-up. We're hiring a motivated, organized sales professional who can book qualified appointments and also enroll families in our SAT prep and college advising programs.

This is both a setter and closer role. You'll contact, qualify, and follow up with leads, and you'll also run enrollment conversations and close qualified families. As our sales process matures, strong performers may move into a dedicated closer role and help train future appointment setters.

To be clear about what the job involves: it is not a passive customer service position. The work includes repetitive outbound calls and texts, frequent rejection, consistent follow-up, careful CRM documentation, and asking for the sale professionally. If that sounds like a good fit, we'd like to hear from you.

Responsibilities

Lead Outreach and Appointment Setting

  • Call and text cold, older, and unresponsive leads
  • Follow up consistently across multiple contact attempts
  • Re-engage families who inquired before but didn't enroll
  • Qualify parents and students on need, timing, goals, fit, and readiness
  • Book qualified enrollment appointments
  • Confirm appointments and reduce no-shows
  • Keep accurate records in GoHighLevel

Sales and Enrollment

  • Run phone or video enrollment calls with qualified families
  • Clearly explain our SAT prep, college advising, tutoring, and application support services
  • Identify each family's main problem and the outcome they want
  • Handle common objections about timing, price, trust, and commitment
  • Recommend the right service when there's a real fit
  • Ask for the enrollment and collect accurate payment and next-step information
  • Follow up with interested families who aren't ready to enroll yet
  • Never misrepresent results, guarantee admissions outcomes, or pressure families into purchases that aren't right for them

Process Improvement

  • Track common objections and reasons for lost sales
  • Give feedback on lead quality, messaging, and sales conversations
  • Take part in role-play, call reviews, and sales training
  • Follow company scripts, qualification steps, and CRM procedures
  • Document the outcome of every lead and sales call

Performance Expectations

This role is measured by results. Performance will be evaluated on:

  • Daily outreach activity
  • Contact and conversation rates
  • Qualified appointments booked
  • Appointment show rate
  • Enrollment rate
  • Cash collected
  • Revenue generated per 100 leads
  • Follow-up completion
  • CRM accuracy
  • Professional objection handling
  • Reliability, coachability, and consistency

Qualifications

The ideal candidate:

  • Has experience in sales, appointment setting, enrollment, recruiting, fundraising, customer success, or high-volume phone work
  • Is comfortable making repeated outbound calls and hearing "no"
  • Communicates clearly and respectfully with parents and students
  • Is organized and disciplined about follow-up
  • Is coachable and willing to role-play and review recorded calls
  • Can work independently in a remote environment
  • Is competitive, resilient, and motivated by measurable results
  • Understands that consistent activity creates sales opportunities
  • Balances persistence with professionalism and empathy

College admissions or education sales experience is helpful but not required. We care more about work ethic, communication, coachability, and a track record of producing results.

Compensation and Schedule

  • Pay: $20–$25 per hour, plus performance-based bonuses or commissions tied to qualified appointments, enrollments, and collected revenue
  • The exact compensation structure will be discussed during the interview and will depend on experience and demonstrated ability
  • Hours: Part-time to start, about 20–25 hours per week, with the possibility of moving to full-time as lead volume and performance support it
  • Location: Remote, U.S.-based preferred
  • Availability: Must be available during agreed business hours with strong overlap with Eastern Time
  • Requirements: Reliable internet and a quiet, professional workspace for calls

Growth Opportunity

You'll start as both a setter and closer. Strong performers may be promoted to a dedicated closer position once they consistently show:

  • Strong appointment-setting results
  • Reliable follow-up
  • Consistent enrollment performance
  • Accurate CRM documentation
  • Skill in handling objections
  • The ability to follow and improve the sales process

Future opportunities may include training new setters, managing sales activity, or taking ownership of higher-quality qualified appointments.

How to Apply

Please submit:

  • Your resume
  • A short explanation of why you're interested in this role
  • A brief description of your previous sales or phone-based experience
  • Your availability and desired compensation
  • One measurable sales or performance result you're proud of

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 25.0 per week

Benefits:

  • Work from home

Application Question(s):

  • How many outbound calls or sales conversations were you responsible for in a typical day or week in your previous role?
  • Describe a time you handled repeated rejection and still produced a result.
  • What is your process for following up with a lead who does not answer or is not ready to buy?
  • What sales metrics have you been measured on?
  • Are you comfortable beginning in a position where you will act as both setter and closer role with significant outbound activity?
