Senior Sales Manager Location, Hours \& Compensation: Remote, U.S.\-based. This role will operate primarily during standard U.S. business hours. Part time, appx 30 hours per week. Must have at least 4 hours of CST availability daily M\-F to allow for client and team calls. 1099 with ability to grow into long term W2 career. Hourly compensation at the senior level is anticipated to be $45 \- 50 p/h DOE *Candidates with less experience may be considered for a junior role at a lower rate.* Perks * Fully remote work environment with flexibility in how the workday is structured * Significant ownership of the sales process with direct access to company leadership * Established CRM, audience data, digital properties, and internal support for sales collateral * Opportunity to bring new ideas and expertise to a small, experienced team * Ability to develop creative programs that connect national organizations with military\-connected audiences About the Company \& Role VirtForce Strategic Partner operates three established digital properties serving the military\-connected community, connecting service members, veterans, military spouses, and their families with education, career, financial, benefits, and other trusted resources. The Senior Sales Manager will focus primarily on growing advertising and partnership revenue across these properties, with current priorities centered on the recruiting/employment and financial\-services markets. Prospective clients may include staffing and recruiting firms, government contractors, large national employers, financial institutions, insurance companies, ecommerce brands, and other organizations seeking to reach military\-connected audiences. This is a full\-cycle new business role responsible for building and managing a pipeline from prospecting and discovery through proposals, follow\-up, and close. The team is small, experienced, and fully remote, with a high degree of autonomy and limited micromanagement. The right person will be comfortable owning their work independently, staying accountable, collaborating when needed, and bringing ideas and expertise that add to the existing team. Key Responsibilities Business Development \& Prospecting * Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities across recruiting, employment, financial services, insurance, government, military\-adjacent, and other relevant national organizations * Build and manage a proactive outbound sales pipeline, moving opportunities from initial prospecting through qualification, proposal, negotiation, and close * Develop thoughtful outreach sequences and engage prospective clients through email, phone, video meetings, networking, and other appropriate channels * Build relationships with relevant decision\-makers and establish a strong understanding of their business priorities, target audiences, budgets, timelines, and desired outcomes Discovery \& Strategic Solutions * Lead discovery conversations that uncover client needs and translate those needs into strategic recommendations across digital marketing, lead generation, sponsorships, content, email, and partnerships * Use audience data and platform insights to help prospective clients understand how to effectively reach service members, veterans, military spouses, dependents, Guard, Reserve, and other military\-connected audiences * Develop clear proposals, presentations, media plans, and sales recommendations in collaboration with the internal team * Collaborate with marketing, content, product, email, and advertising operations teams to appropriately scope, position, and deliver opportunities * Contribute ideas for new ways to package, position, and monetize the company's audiences and digital offerings Pipeline \& Deal Management * Guide opportunities through the decision\-making process, including addressing objections, negotiating campaign terms, managing follow\-up, and advancing opportunities toward close * Maintain accurate and timely records of contacts, opportunities, proposals, follow\-up activity, and pipeline movement in Copper CRM * Monitor sales activity, pipeline value, conversion activity, close rates, and revenue against established goals * As the pipeline develops, strategically shift time and attention from outbound prospecting toward active opportunities, proposals, follow\-up, and closing Market \& Audience Expertise * Stay informed on trends affecting the military\-connected community, relevant client industries, digital marketing, lead generation, and competitive offerings * Develop a strong understanding of the company's audiences, digital offerings, and the ways organizations can effectively engage military\-connected consumers Account Growth * Existing account management is currently supported internally. Depending on the individual's experience and business needs, there may be an opportunity to continue managing and growing accounts they personally bring into the company. Qualifications * 3\+ years of experience managing a full sales cycle, including prospecting, outreach, discovery, proposals, objection handling, negotiation, follow\-up, and close. * Strong understanding of digital marketing and digital properties, including how lead generation, sponsorships, content, email, audience targeting, and other digital offerings can work together to support client objectives. * Strong consultative selling skills, with the ability to develop solutions around prospective clients’ business objectives and think creatively about how audiences, products, and services can be positioned. * Ability to independently build, organize, and advance a sales pipeline, with an understanding of sales activity, conversion metrics, sales stages, and how prospecting volume, meetings, proposals, and close rates contribute to revenue goals. * Strong written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail, organization, and disciplined follow\-through. * Ability to work independently in a remote environment, maintain accountability without frequent meetings or micromanagement, and take ownership of problems by working through obstacles and determining appropriate next steps before escalating. * Resilience and comfort working in a sales environment where hearing “no” is a regular part of the process, along with experience using a CRM to manage pipelines and follow\-up workflows. Preferred Experience * Experience within the recruiting or employment industry, with experience selling to national employers, staffing or recruiting organizations, government contractors, financial institutions, insurance companies, agencies, or other large organizations. * Media, digital advertising, sponsorship, lead\-generation, or digital marketing sales experience, particularly experience developing customized or integrated marketing programs rather than selling a single predefined advertising product. * Understanding of the military\-connected community, including the differences between Active Duty service members, veterans, military spouses, dependents, Guard, and Reserve audiences. * Experience using Canva, Excel, Google Workspace, and sales presentation tools. * Experience working with Copper CRM is helpful but not required. * Higher education sales experience may also be useful as opportunities across the broader portfolio develop. * Potential to travel 1\-2 times annually as the role grows.
